"Phineas and Ferb" mania continues at Walt Disney World. The next activity that centers around the Disney Channel animated duo will be at Downtown Disney.
"Phineas and Ferb & YOU: A Brand New Reality" will begin its limited run on Sept 1. It will incorporate guests in one of 20 animated sequences featuring Phineas, Ferb, Agent P (the fedora-wearing platypus) or Dr. Doofenschmirtz. Folks will "magically appear to dance or play alongside them" for 30 seconds, Disney says.
Later, participants can download a complimentary photo from the experience.
This Downtown Disney activity — located on the West Side area, next to Bongos Cuban Cafe — will continue daily from 2 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily through Dec. 1.
"Phineas and Ferb" already has an established presence in the Disney World theme parks. New is the Disney Phineas & Ferb Agent P World Showcase Adventure at Epcot, and guests at Disney's Hollywood Studios can see the characters at an interactive meet-and-greet in the Streets of America area. Merchandise, including Agent P-inspired mouse ears and T-shirts, are seen throughout Disney World stores.
The "Phineas and Ferb" show debuted in 2008, featuring the title characters who are imaginative stepbrothers, their family and pet platypus Perry, who stars in subplots as Agent P. Vincent Martella, who grew up in DeLand, voices Phineas.
